In February, I had one of my lovely and thoughtful customers ask for my help in creating a Personalised Framed Photo Print for her mum who had her lost her husband - 'her father'.

We all have our own personal thoughts on what's after this life, where do we go?

I truly believe that our loved ones are not far from us, and do send us signs that they're there with us, whether it's a white feather, a smell of their perfume/aftershave etc.

Our minds must be open to accepting the signs.

However, everyone is entitled to their own views but personally the feeling it brings to believe they are not too far from us is reassuring and comforting.

The hardest part is the firsts, the first birthday, the first Christmas, the first family occasion since they passed. But, life does go on, so how do we keep them part of the family occasion?

Maybe, light a candle for them, position a photo of them at the occasion or simply talking and re-living memories of them. Treasure the memories!

As we lose family, we also at some point gain new members to the family such as a new beautiful bouncing baby...What fun that brings! and we then treasure them making their firsts, and celebrating at occasions hosted for them, such as a Christening Day.

Locking memories into photographs is so easy and I feel is so important, as we take snaps on our mobiles, cameras, I pads etc. we are capturing a moment in time that we wont get back. But this can also sadden our thoughts when the family picture is missing a loved one!

Therefore, my customers request was to add her dad into a christening photo.

Adding one into the family picture.

Here it goes....

Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday, unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear x
